Maybe you’re here because you’ve seen one of our fleet of trucks parked in front of your neighbors’ house or tooling up and down US 19 and Gulf to Bay at all hours of the day and night and you figured you’d check us out. If so, that’s fantastic. We’re thrilled to have you here. But let’s be honest, you’re probably here because your A/C unit just decided to take a vacation on what feels like the hottest day of the year (which is pretty much any day without A/C around here)… Either way, you’ve got questions and we’ve got the answers that will help you make a good, solid decision about your air conditioner repairs.
“It’s Hard to Stop a Trane,” isn’t a motto that Trane takes lightly. In fact, they seem to take an enormous amount of pleasure from putting their products through some of the most grueling tests imaginable in order to ensure their durability and reliability. For marathon sixteen week sessions, every Trane product must endure simulated extremes such as Arctic-like cold and Sahara-like heat. Imagine being bombarded by a continuous blast of salt spray for 2,600 hours straight and you’ll get an idea what it’s like to be a Trane air conditioner. The good news for you is that when you bought a Trane, you got a solid product that will be able to withstand the punishing Florida heat and salt air for years.
But if it has been years, and your Trane needs some work to retain peak performance, call us. We handle Trane repairs every day and will use all our experience to restore your indoor life as soon as possible.
15% Off Flat Rate Diagnostic.
We charge a flat fee of $97 for a service diagnostic call. Every service call is different, so once we get to your house and break out our tools, we’ll be able to run some tests and tell you exactly what is wrong with your system and what it will take to get it up and running again. If you choose to have us make the repairs, we will apply the $97 to the cost of the repairs.
What will it cost to repair my A/C unit?
Without knowing what’s wrong with your particular system, it would be impossible to answer that question. Sometimes all that is needed is the $97 +$5 for gas to blow through the line. If you’ve got a bad compressor, though, that could cost quite a bit more. We’ll check to see if your system is still under warranty to help defray the cost of repair.
How soon can you get here?
We have quite a few trucks and a large team willing to work long hours, so we can usually be there on the same day you call us, if that’s what you need. Of course, there are days when it seems like every A/C unit in Clearwater has given up the ghost on the same day. At those times, it will take us a little longer to get to you.
Are your repairmen licensed contractors?
Even better, we’re licensed mechanical contractors. That means we can work on any type of mechanical system without limitations. The advantage to you is that if you have a natural gas furnace, for example, you don’t have to call us plus a plumber (an extra service call and fee to you). We can do it all ourselves.
How do I know if I should replace my A/C unit or repair it?
Modern air conditioning systems generally have a life expectancy of 10 years. If you’ve been good to your system and had annual check-ups and maintenance work done, that can increase the efficiency and reliability of your system. But if it seems like your system is working harder every year and not quite putting out the same cool air it once did or if you find yourself having to call for repairs a little too often, it’s a safe bet that your system needs replacing. The good news is that the new A/C systems are far more cost effective and efficient than the older models, so you’ll likely see some savings in your monthly bill.
